Los Angeles Dodgers Top Dynasty Prospects- August Edition

Los Angeles Dodgers Top Prospects August 2025 Edition

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple levels each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up to date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

The Dodgers continue to produce elite prospect talent. On top of already having a loaded farm system, the team was able to acquire James Tibbs III from Boston. He adds another tier three prospect to their loaded system and ranks eighth here. The Dodgers have the most tier-one prospects in all of baseball. Their most recent draft pick Zach Root comes in at tenth although he would rank much higher for other teams. Keep reading for the Dodgers’ top ten prospects for dynasty baseball.

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Performances:

  • Kendall George continues to steal bases. In a loaded Dodgers’ farm system, Kendall George does not even come close to sniffing the top ten. That does not mean he should be completely ignored by fantasy managers. George has spent the entire season at High-A where he is batting .268 with three home runs. The lack of power is the issue and hides the elite speed in his profile. George has stolen 68 bases this season while also making contact over 80% of the time.
  • Jackson Ferris is settling in on the mound. Ferris has ranked as a tier two prospect throughout the 2025 season, and his recent performance on the mound only solidifies that ranking. His last six starts have been especially strong. During that time frame, he owns a 1.08 ERA with an improved 8.6% walk rate. The strikeouts have not fully come around, but his arsenal packs plenty of upside. Ferris should be considered one of the top left-handed pitching prospects in baseball.

Notable Prospect Promotions and News:

  • Eduardo Quintero is now playing in High-A. Quintero has been one of the biggest breakout prospects of 2025. After dominating the Complex League last season, Quintero has continued his success in full-season ball this year. In 81 games in Low-A, Quintero hit .306 with 14 homers and 35 stolen bases. Analyzing his profile for future fantasy success, Quintero has it all. Great speed, good contact skills, excellent plate discipline, and at least average power.
  • Emil Morales and Ching-Hsien Ko are getting their first taste of full-season ball. The Dodgers promoted two Complex League standouts up to Low-A to wind down their season. After a slow start, Morales finished Complex League play with nine homers and six steals. The biggest concern is the development of his hit tool against tougher competition. Ko is not as polished of a prospect but has the physical projectability that dynasty managers gravitate toward.
  • Alex Freeland was promoted to the Major Leagues. Injuries at second base opened up the door for Freeland to get a chance at the Major League level. Freeland’s swing can get a bit long at times, making his projection against Major League pitching difficult. On the surface, he has good speed with decent power that should turn into a useful fantasy asset.
  • The team selected Zach Root with their first pick in the 2025 draft. Root was dominant in his final collegiate season with Arkansas. He features a mid-90s fastball that works as more of a sinker than a true four-seamer. His secondaries are mostly a curve and changeup which lowers his projected ceiling for dynasty managers.
  • Yes, the Dodgers somehow added another top 100 prospect at the trade deadline. The Dodgers who lead their division, traded away Dustin May to get back James Tibbs III. For those tracking this makes it three teams for Tibbs this season after being a first-round pick in the 2024 draft. Tibbs’ production has been inconsistent as he has bounced around the league, but there is plenty of pop in his left-handed bat, making him a strong dynasty asset.
