New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Performances:

  • Adam Serwinowski is dominating batters in High-A. The Dodgers’ ability to acquire prospects while contending for a World Series is uncanny. They may have done it again. Serwinowski came over from the Reds at this year’s trade deadline and owns a 1.83 ERA through his first six starts with his new organization. He is a fast-rising prospect in the dynasty community and a player worth keeping an eye on.
  • Patrick Copen needs to get his walk rate under control. Copen has the stuff to turn into the next big-time Dodgers’ pitching prospect. For now, he remains outside of the top ten due to control issues. On the season, Copen has walked 16.2% of the batters he has faced. His walk rate since the start of August is 18.1%.
  • Ching-Hsien Ko has not found much success in Low-A. Ko dominated the Complex League this season to the tune of a .367/.487/.539 slash, but has not found the same level of success since his promotion. In 32 games at Low-A, he is batting .219 with zero home runs. The encouraging note for dynasty managers is that his contact rate and walk rates have continued to look strong.

Notable Prospect Promotions and News:

  • Josue De Paula is making the jump to Double-A. After putting up a 143 wRC+ in High-A, the Dodgers had seen enough to promote De Paula to the next level. De Paula has continued to look like a prospect with an extremely high floor with some of the best contact skills and plate discipline in all of Minor League baseball. His speed is a definite plus, with the only question being how much game power will develop as he matures.
  • Joining De Paula at Double-A is fellow top prospect Zyhir Hope. The rise of Eduardo Quintero and the success of Josue De Paula have worn the shine off Hope’s name in the dynasty community. Make no mistake, this remains an excellent prospect. He posted a 131 wRC+ in High-A and will now look to continue his success at the next level.
