The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.
- Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
- Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
- Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
- Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
- Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5
The 1990s Yankees were built on their homegrown talent with players like Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, and Jorge Posada anchoring their club. As the years have gone on, ownership has taken an all-in approach, filling their voids externally while leaving their system thin. The current crop of Minor Leaguers is an exciting blend of high-upside players mixed with several budding young stars. Here are the Yankees top prospects!
Notable Prospect Promotions and News
- 2024 first-rounder Ben Hess made the jump to Double-A on August 5th, ascending for the first time in his MiLB career. The 23-year-old debuted and made 15 starts for High-A Hudson Valley, pitching to a 3.51 ERA and tallying 94 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings. In his first five outings at Double-A, Hess has been even better. He has a 3.16 ERA in 25 2/3 innings, holding hitters to a .167 average and a .499 OPS. The University of Alabama product has a 33.2% strikeout rate in his first season as a pro.

Notable Prospect Performances
- 22-year-old outfielder and Wofford Terrier product Marshall Toole is quietly having a solid debut season in the Yankee organization. Toole, a 15th-round pick last summer, is showing off all of his tools (pun intended) for Class A Tampa this year. In August alone, Toole racked up 25 hits (.333 AVG), seven XBH (2 HR), and 14 runs, RBIs, and stolen bases. His season total for steals is now 43, which leads all Yankee Minor Leaguers. Toole also has a 150 wRC+, which ranks fourth among Yankee prospects. That’s a solid season for a 15th-rounder that ranks outside the Top 50 in the organization.
- After one of the hottest streaks in recent history, top prospect Spencer Jones had a horrible month of August. While nobody expected him to bat over .400 with double-digit homers every month, the volatility in his profile continues to be on display. In 29 games, Jones managed a .556 OPS with just three homers, eight steals, and 47 strikeouts (42.3%) in 111 at-bats. This is a subtle, yet essential, reminder that Jones is likely to be a very boom-or-bust fantasy asset, which is why most prospect rankings are abundantly cautious when ranking him. It’s unlikely we see Jones in the Majors this season, but he should have a chance to compete for a roster spot when Opening Day rolls around in 2026.
