The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects, which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.
- Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
- Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
- Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile, ranking in the 76-150 range
- Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
- Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5
Following the 2024 MLB Draft, the Cardinals finally have a superstar prospect headlining their rankings, JJ Wetherholt. Joining him is a plethora of talent, including a trio of catchers and one of 2024’s fastest rising prospects, Yairo Padilla! Martin digs into the future of the Cardinals.

Notable Prospect Promotions and News
- After a breakout 2024 season, 23-year-old Taiwanese right-hander Chen-Wei Lin was promoted to AA on August 26th. Lin posted a dazzling 2.79 ERA in 2024, striking out 123 hitters in 116 innings for Class A Palm Beach. While he continues to rack up the Ks, Lin logged 43 1/3 innings in 2025, but generated an ERA north of 6.00. The primary reason for his struggles centered on his command and control. Lin had 36 walks this season, the same number as he had in 2024, although it came in 70 fewer innings. It’s been rocky for Lin thus far at Double-A as he’s allowed nine earned runs in less than three innings, which includes six walks.
Notable Prospect Performances
- Brycen Mautz was on the cusp of a breakout as he polished off his first pro season in 2023. Unfortunately, he ran into a wall in 2024 and got knocked around over 121 2/3 innings for High-A Peoria. The second-round pick in 2022 posted an ERA of 5.18, allowing opposing hitters to hit .270 with an OPS of just under .800. Despite his struggles, Mautz made the jump to Double-A in 2025 and has rebounded with a nice season, particularly in August. The 24-year-old southpaw won four of his six starts, pitching to a 2.32 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 31 innings. That momentum carried over to his first start in September as well, as Mautz struck out nine in six innings of one-run ball. Given their success with another talented left-hander, Quinn Mathews, Mautz is a name to keep on your radar as we enter 2026.
- In a system chock full of high-end catching prospects, it’s the 22-year-old High-A backstop Ryan Campos that starred in August. Campos, a fourth-rounder from 2024, hit .293 with ten extra-base hits (2 HR), four steals, and posted a .391 OBP in 19 games for Peoria. August was the best single month he’s had in his Minor League career, as the light-hitting catcher is known more for his defense than his bat. Aside from a hot stick this month, there isn’t any juice in the squeeze with Campos.
- Unlike Campos, there is some prospect pedigree with Korean-born outfielder Won-Bin Cho. Cho had a strong 2023, hitting seven homers and posting 32 steals to go with a .270 average at Class A Palm Beach. He struggled to adjust at High-A, as Cho hit just .227 with a strikeout rate of 35.8%. While repeating High-A this season, Cho cut his strikeout rate by over 10% and was particularly good in August. He hit .263, mashing five homers and stealing nine bases in 80 at-bats. There are still some underlying concerns with Cho, but he’s flashed a little power and plenty of speed, a similar profile to many of the Cardinals’ outfield prospects in recent years.
