Toronto Blue Jays Top Dynasty Prospects-July Edition

Martin highlights two talented hurlers in the Jays preview!

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

Up North, the Toronto Blue Jays are working to re-establish a depleted system. As the team fell out of the race last season, they made several key trades to acquire talent while also landing a very talented draft class. The system still lacks overall depth, but things are trending up for the Jays. Here are their top prospects!

Notable Prospect Promotions and News

  • Trey Yesavage has already been promoted once this season, but now he’s headed to Double-A. The 2025 first-rounder from ECU made exactly four starts for High-A Vancouver. He tossed 17 1/3 innings with just three earned runs allowed and 33 strikeouts, clearly enough for the Jays to move him up another level. Yesavage is averaging 15.02 strikeouts per nine with a K-BB rate of 31.7%. He’s put himself firmly inside the Top 5 pitching prospects in baseball and finally gives the Jays a much-needed future ace in the wake of the Ricky Tiedemann injury.
  • 6’3″ prep pitcher Johnny King has some major helium early in 2025. The lefty from Naples, FL, graduated from the Complex Level to Low-A after 24 dominant innings. He debuted on June 29th, tossing three scoreless innings with four walks and six Ks. King has whiffed 41 batters this season, yielding just three earned runs en route to a 1.00 ERA. There’s plenty of arm talent in the youngster, but he’s still quite raw with a lot of development ahead of him.

Notable Prospect Performances

  • The Red Sox weren’t the only Double-A no-hitter this month, as Toronto’s New Hampshire Fisher Cats no-hit Altoona on June 7th. It was a 7-inning no-hitter, but starter Rafael Sanchez did the deed. He needed just 90 pitches, yielding two walks with two strikeouts. The Fisher Cats’ pitching staff was pretty impressive during that series, shutting out their opponents in each of the first four games and allowing just two runs in game five. If not for an offensive explosion (11 R) by Altoona in the sixth game, the margin of victory would have been even more skewed.
  • What a wild month for 27-year-old Will Robertson. He started it with a 3-HR game against Syracuse on June 3rd and finished with his first promotion to the Majors on June 15th. Robertson played just three games for the Jays, but as a career Minor Leaguer, it was a moment he’ll never forget. His first MLB hit came against Phillies reliever Tanner Banks, an RBI single to right field, but it was his only one as he finished 1-for-10.
