Philadelphia Phillies Top Dynasty Prospects- July Edition

Philadelphia Phillies Top Prospects July 2025 Update

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

The Phillies’ Farm System is on the rise. Between Aroon Escobar and Eduardo Tait, the team suddenly has several prospects to look forward to despite an incredibly strong Major League roster. Andrew Painter and Mick Abel are going to continue contributing to the rotation throughout this season, and the duo of Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford are not far behind. Keep reading for the latest news and notes on performances from the Phillies’ farm system. You can check out last month’s update on the Pitcher List dynasty page here.

The biggest question for teams contending in 2025 is how many of their top prospects will still be their top prospects on August 1. That question is certainly true for the Philies, who figure to be big players at this year’s trade deadline. For now, though, the team is ripe with top-end talent. Andrew Painter remains one of the game’s top pitching prospects, while Aidan Miller and Aroon Escobar are tier-two prospects. The Phillies have quietly built a deep system that will attract plenty of attention from rebuilding teams this month.

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Performances

  • Carson DeMartini has just one home run since his promotion to Double-A. Although the power numbers have slowed down, the rest of DeMartini’s profile has grown more encouraging. His hit tool, which is the biggest question mark, has shown noticeable improvements as the season has moved along. His contact, strikeout, and walk rates have all improved since his promotion to Double-A. He also continues to steal bases at a high rate and is up to 27 on the season.
  • Gabriel Rincones Jr is posting underwhelming numbers in Triple-A. Rincones had a big Spring Training restoring some prospect helium that had previously disappeared. Unfortunately, he is batting only .218 in Triple-A this season. Rincones has strong power and speed, which gives him plenty of fantasy upside. The most concerning part of this season has been his struggles against lefties. Rincones is slashing .068/.192/.068 against lefties this season. He is likely to be a platoon bat in the future.

Notable Promotions and News:

  • Mick Abel was optioned back to Triple-A. Abel’s success at the Major League level was, at the very least, a bit surprising given his inconsistency in the Minor Leagues. After posting a 2.21 ERA through his first four starts, Abel allowed nine runs in his final two starts. Moving back to Triple-A will give him a chance to reset and work through his recent struggles.
  • Keaton Anthony is flying under the radar in prospect circles. Anthony went undrafted back in 2023 and signed with the Phillies. In 49 games at Double-A, Anthony was slashing .330/.380/.522, leading to a promotion to Triple-A. His success has continued at Triple-A, where he is batting .356. Anthony has excellent contact skills, but an aggressive approach limits his true game power, which is crucial to the success of first base prospects for fantasy purposes.
  • Dylan Campbell was promoted from High-A to Double-A. Campbell came to the Phillies prior to this season via a trade with the Dodgers. Splitting time between second base and the outfield, Campbell has shown off intriguing tools that should grab the attention of dynasty managers. He has hit eight homers and 20 stolen bases. He is showing more patience at the plate with the Phillies and is batting .281 since his promotion to Double-A. Campbell is no more than a deep-league flier but he should start to generate more buzz if his success continues.
  • Rayin Heredia is back healthy. Heredia has been on the IL since May 2, with an undisclosed injury, but returned to High-A on July 3. Following a rough 2024 season, the start to 2025 has been much more encouraging for Heredia. He is batting .316 with two homers in 18 games for High-A.
  • Aroon Escobar was promoted from Low to High-A. Escobar has been one of the biggest breakout prospects of the 2025 season and will now get a chance to prove himself at the next level. Escobar is up to 11 homers and 10 stolen bases on the season, but has been a bit cold as of late. He is batting .205 since June 13, although a low BABIP is partially to blame.
