Philadelphia Phillies Top Dynasty Prospects- June Edition

Philadelphia Phillies Top Prospects June 2025 Update

The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.

  • Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
  • Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
  • Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile ranking in the 76-150 range
  • Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
  • Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier 5

The Phillies’ Farm System is on the rise. Between Aroon Escobar and Eduardo Tait, the team suddenly has several prospects to look forward to despite an incredibly strong Major League roster. Andrew Painter and Mick Abel are going to continue contributing to the rotation throughout this season and the duo of Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford are not far behind. Keep reading for the latest news and notes on performances from the Phillies’ farm system. You can check out last month’s update on the Pitcher List dynasty page here.

Top 10 Prospects

Notable Prospect Performances

  • Aroon Escobar is quickly turning into a must-own prospect. Escobar is flying up prospect ranking lists thanks to his fast start to 2025. Through 39 games in Low-A, Escobar has already hit 10 home runs and is batting .324. Escobar really is doing everything dynasty managers want to see. He has excellent bat speed that helps him drive the ball with ease. He hits a lot of line drives and is running a contact rate over 78%. Stolen bases are the one thing unlikely to be part of his game in the future, but that is okay given the upside he possesses in the other four categories.
  • Aidan Miller is heating up. Miller got off to a slow start in Double-A this season but is starting to find his groove. From May 16 forward, Miller is slashing .309/.387/.473. He is also up to 18 stolen bases on the season. Miller is a premier prospect for dynasty managers. He should continue to see his numbers improve as the season moves along. In this month’s update, he slides from a tier-one prospect down to a tier-two, but he is still incredibly valuable for dynasty managers to rely on.
  • Hendry Mendez is another deep league name to know. Mendez was acquired from the Brewers prior to the 2024 season. He has not generated much fantasy buzz despite batting .295 with a 130 wRC+. Mendez’s hit tool is incredible and is surely his carrying tool. His 6’3″ comes with plenty of power projection, but his career-high in home runs is just five. This is where things get interesting. Since April 20, Mendez is slashing .313/.374/.482. Since May 10, he has hit four home runs, has a .224 ISO, and is slugging .507. He is getting the ball in the air more, the raw power is turning to game power, and that makes Mendez a player dynasty managers should know about.

Notable Promotions and News:

  • Mick Abel was dominant in his Major League debut earlier this month. Abel tied a Phillies record for most strikeouts in his debut as he held the Pirates scoreless over six innings. More importantly, Abel did not walk a single batter. Abel has been a revelation this year, reminding those in the baseball community why he was a first-round pick. After originally being sent back to Triple-A, the team called him back up to rejoin the rotation. Fantasy managers should be aware that this is likely to be temporary with Aaron Nola working his way back from the IL.
  • Moises Chace’s significant slide down this ranking list is due to the news that he underwent Tommy John Surgery. Chace was a popular breakout candidate after seemingly resolving his control issues following a mid-season trade to Philadelphia last season. His 2025 season got off to a rough start, and reports were that his velocity were down. He will now miss the remainder of the season and will likely not return until midway through 2026. This increases his relief risk significantly as he will not be fully ramped up until at least 2027.
  • Andrew Painter is going to be shut down to preserve his innings. Painter has now made eight rehab starts, with the last four coming at Triple-A. The stuff has looked excellent with his fastball sitting in the upper 90s. His strikeout rate is hovering near 30% as he continues to shake off the rust. The Phillies have come out publicly and stated they still anticipate him making his Major League debut at some point after the All-Star Break. He remains one of the best pitching prospects in baseball.
