The division reports debuted last year. The goal of this article series is to provide a quick overview of all dynasty-relevant information from each division. Each team has multiple minor league levels, each containing plenty of impactful prospects, which can feel impossible to keep up with. This article series, which will be updated once per month, will help dynasty managers stay up-to-date on performances, injuries, promotions, and more. New this season is the inclusion of tiers in the rankings. Next to their rank, each prospect is assigned a tier. The tier range is 1-5.
- Tier 1: A potential difference-making dynasty prospect. Somebody who would rank in the top-20ish prospects for dynasty baseball
- Tier 2: A still very good dynasty prospect who holds plenty of value. This prospect would typically rank in the 21-75 range
- Tier 3: A mid-tier prospect who could be valuable but has questions and concerns present in his profile, ranking in the 76-150 range
- Tier 4: A prospect who is worth knowing, but is reserved for deeper leagues. This prospect would rank 151-250
- Tier 5: The rest of the prospects fall into Tier
The Guardians had half of their top 10 prospects on the injured list going into June, but now only Travis Bazzana and Andrew Walters remain on the shelf. See how the healing prospects are doing on the field after missing significant time in May.
Notable Prospect Performances:
- Angel Genao missed nearly all of the first two months of the season with a shoulder injury. He began a rehab assignment on May 22 and returned to Double-A Akron on June 6. Since then, Genao has put up strong numbers at Double-A with a .303/.364/.427 slash line, one home run, 14 RBI, 14.5% strikeout rate, 11.5% walk rate, and three stolen bases over 23 games. Genao has spent most of his Minor League career shuffling around various infield positions, but the Guardians front office has opted to use him only at shortstop in 2025. Genao has a ways to go before he earns a callup to the next level, but with where things stand now, he’s on a good course to see Triple-A before the season is over.
- Ralphy Velazquez had a bad slump at the plate over the course of May and first half of June but over his last 16 games, he’s begun to turn his season in a better trajectory at High-A Lake County. During this 16-game stretch, Velazquez has gone 18-for-69, with five doubles, three home runs, and nine RBI. Shrinking this stretch down to the first four games in July, Velazquez is on fire with a .412/.474/.706 slash line. There are still high expectations for the Guardians’ first pick from the 2023 MLB Draft. If he can keep this hot bat he’s brought into July from being extinguished, then he’ll be in good company to see his prospect stock rise back up.
Notable Prospect News and Promotions:
- Travis Bazanna is set to begin a rehab assignment this weekend with the Guardians’ rookie ball team in Arizona. Bazanna has been out since May 14 with an oblique injury and has been missed in Double-A Akron’s lineup. Before going down with the oblique injury, Bazzana had a .252/.362/.433 slash line, 12.8% walk rate, 26.2% strikeout rate, four home runs, and 17 RBI over 33 games with the RubberDucks. The month and a half of time missed out on the field for Bazzana has likely pushed his MLB debut back until 2026, but if he comes back on the field hitting as hot as ever, he may not completely rule himself out of a potential September call-up.
