Playing Time Changes
- The White Sox DFA’ed Reese McGuire and gave Drew Romo the call-up from Triple-A. He’s been on a backup catcher career track for much of his career, but he kicked off his season with a bang with a two-homer game against the Angels. He could work his way into an even timeshare with Edgar Quero, considering how poorly Quero has been performing at the plate, but I’d be surprised if he worked his way into fantasy relevance.
- Logan O’Hoppe is out for the next few weeks with a fractured wrist. Travis d’Arnaud will lead the charge in the interim, with Sebastián Rivero filling out the reserves.
- Jose Trevino is back to back up Tyler Stephenson and the Reds.

Francisco Alvarez – NYM (30% on Yahoo): Alvarez has been ice-cold and has been losing playing time at DH with Juan Soto back in action. He has three games at Coors to get his head back on straight, followed by a crack at some of Arizona’s unimpressive starting pitching.
Ryan Jeffers – MIN (21% on Yahoo): Jeffers is on yet another heater, and gets Miles Mikolas and the rest of the Nats to brighten up his next week.
Samuel Basallo – BAL (23% on Yahoo): Basallo is red-hot in the last week and has the Athletics to look forward to next weekend. He’s played in five of the O’s last seven games, at both DH and catcher.
Rafael Marchán / Garrett Stubbs – PHI (0% on Yahoo): Marchan is the clear starter, though Stubbs has been the better hitter since J.T. Realmuto went down. The Phillies will face the back half of the Marlins’ rotation, followed by the A’s and Rockies. They’ll sadly play their latter two series at home rather than in Sacramento or Denver.
