Depth Chart and Matchups
Playing Time Changes
- Drew Romo has won the starting job with the White Sox over Edgar Quero.
- Patrick Bailey will likely draw the majority of starts for the Guardians. Austin Hedges should continue as the backup, with Bo Naylor optioned to Triple-A.
- The Angels are down another catcher with Travis d’Arnaud hitting the shelf. Logan O’Hoppe is expected back today, and Sebastián Rivero will remain as the backup.
- Cal Raleigh faces an extended absence with an oblique strain. Mitch Garver will draw the majority of starts, and Jhonny Pereda and his strikeout against Shohei Ohtani will serve as backup.
- Sean Murphy is gone too soon. The Braves will turn to Sandy León to serve as backup.
- Francisco Alvarez is out, and Luis Torrens will take over his job. Hayden Senger got the call to back him up.
- The Pirates are down one Joey Bart and up one Endy Rodríguez.
- Jesus Rodriguez is the clear starter for San Francisco, and Eric Haase appears to be the backup.

Gabriel Moreno – ARI (10% on Yahoo): Moreno has been in a huge slump, but will face Colorado’s pitching corps six times in the coming days.
Logan O’Hoppe – LAA (3% on Yahoo): O’Hoppe made his return today and has favorable matchups next week against the Athletics.
Ryan Jeffers – MIN (58% on Yahoo): Jeffers has a .942 OPS and 6 HRs on the season. He’s batting .267 in the last two weeks and faces the Astros and Red Sox next week.
Brandon Valenzuela – TOR (4% on Yahoo): I can’t imagine a worse matchup spread against the Yankees and Pirates next week, but Valenzuela has been hitting well and is widely available.
Mitch Garver – SEA (1% on Yahoo): Garver has the starting job and will face the White Sox and Royals next week. He’s a volume play in AL-only two-catcher leagues.
