Depth Chart and Matchups
Playing Time Changes
- Mickey Gasper is in the picture for the Red Sox now. He’s drawing more starts than Connor Wong behind the plate and has seen some play at DH as well. You could do worse than his .742 OPS in 2-catcher AL-only leagues.
- Hunter Feduccia and Nick Fortes have swapped places for the Rays. Feduccia has five starts in the past week to Fortes’ two. Not a ton of fantasy appeal either way, though Feduccia is hitting a touch better.
- As expected, Victor Caratini is operating as the Twins’ starter in Ryan Jeffers‘ absence. Alex Jackson has emerged as the backup for Minnesota. Not much upside here, both have OPSes around .500.
- Mitch Garver and Jhonny Pereda are in a perfect timeshare for the Mariners. Garver has hit quite well in the past week, going 5/11 with one HR.
- Aramis Garcia has taken over the backup role in Arizona. Career backup catcher, not much to see here.

Gabriel Moreno – ARI (35% on Yahoo): I’ve named Moreno as a target for a few weeks now, and he’s been excellent, with 2 HR and 2 SB in the last two weeks. He has the immense privilege of closing out this week against the Rockies and going back for more next Thursday.
Mitch Garver – SEA (1% on Yahoo): Garver had a great week, which I hope will propel him to a greater share of playing time. The White Sox and Royals aren’t the worst matchups next week, either.
Logan O’Hoppe – LAA (3% on Yahoo): O’Hoppe’s breaking out of his post-injury slump with a .273 average in the last week. He’ll face the A’s next, which is always a boon.
Joe Mack – MIA (2% on Yahoo): Starting every day, hitting reasonably well, and has a date with Miles Mikolas and Andrew Alvarez. Ctrl+F “Mikolas” is a key part of my research process.
Tyler Stephenson – CIN (5% on Yahoo): 4/14 in the past week with 1 HR. The Cardinals next weekend are a nice target.
